Changwon is a smaller city with a population of just under 600,000 and is the only planned city in Korea so it’s a lot cleaner and more spacious. There are also quite a few foreign conveniences there that make life just that little bit more comfortable in Korea as well as a close knit foreigner community. Changwon is only 30-40 minutes by bus away from Busan, Korea’s second largest city. This is the official Changwon City website; http://www.changwon.go.kr/foreign/english/ and this website, http://www.obriens-bar.com is the foreign teachers bar website where there is a chat room so you can ask people who are living here questions about Changwon.
