Horizon Language Academy is currently accepting resumes for a full-time teaching position, with duties to begin ASAP.
We are a Canadian-owned, private language school located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, that teaches English to elementary school-age children. We are a legal, registered school, and have been in business since 2004. We have built a reputation in the area for providing top-quality English instruction to our students, and providing a stable, professional and fun environment for our staff.
Our school is growing, and we are looking for fresh talent to join our team. We welcome applicants with the following qualifications:
- Native English speaker from North America, the UK, Australia or New Zealand
- Min bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Preference will be given to holders of an Education degree or teaching certificate, but this is not necessary.
- Hard-working and professional demeanor.
- Enjoys working with children, and cares about their academic and social development.
- A commitment to sign a one-year contract.
For the successful candidate, we offer:
- airport pickup and free accommodation until a place to stay is found.
- orientation to Kaohsiung and help getting settled in.
- paid training plus on-going professional development and mentoring.
- 3 weeks personal vacation time per year.
- Work visa and health insurance.
- Min NT$585 per hour of teaching. May be higher based on previous teaching experience.
- Full-time block hours, from 2:30PM to 9:00 PM Monday to Friday at one location.
- Contract-completion performance bonus of at least NT$20,000.
