How to Apply for this Job

Documentation Requirements
The documentations that you will have to provide in order to obtain an E-2 working visa are as follow:
1. Current, up-to-date, signed resume
2. 4 passport-sized photos
3. Photo copy of your passport information page
4. Official sealed transcript of records from your university (stamped at the enclosure)
5. Original degree certificate (diploma)
6. Apostillized Police clearance/criminal background check*
7. Consul's Checklist for E-2 applicants (attached)
8. E-2 Applicant Health Statement (attached)
*For applicants in the US, an apostillized criminal background check can be obtained and paid for by G’Day Korea. Applicants must first send their other documents to our office address and must provide us with the tracking number. G’Day Korea will then apply and process the criminal background check for the applicants. (Certain conditions may apply; please talk with your contact/recruiter.)
*This service is not available in Canada, please contact your nearest Korean embassy/consulate for more information. For the UK applicants, there are a large number of online companies that will provide a service to get your documents processed. These companies have varied charges and it would be best to do some research as to the best price. As a guideline the average price is between fifty nine to seventy nine pounds.
Application Process
As we receive large volume of applications everyday, each applicant will have to go through a thorough screening process. These steps are the following:

Step 1: Submission of an updated Resume with recent formal photograph. One of our staff will be reviewing your resume as it is our first reference on your background and qualifications.

Step 2: You are required to fill out, scan and email back to us the Consul's Checklist for E-2 applicants form and the E-2 Applicant Health Statement. When you arrive in Korea, you will undergo a medical exam and drug screen so you must be fit and healthy and not a drug user (drug users will be arrested and deported right away and can no longer enter Korea).

Step 3: After your Resume has been evaluated, you will then receive a call from us to verify some information and to assess if you meet the criteria of our client schools. At this point we will try to give you as much information about teaching English in Korea and will be happy to answer all your questions.

Step 4 You should start to process your documentation in preparation for your job offer (this should be done as soon as possible as it is time consuming and if you don’t have them or come across problems it may affectively stop an employer from offering you a position).

Step 5: After your telephone interview with us, we will be endorsing you to our client schools and we will be setting you up for interviews with them. A representative of the school will be speaking to you (it may be the principal or an experienced English Teacher) and they will decide if you’re eligible for the job.

Step 6: GooddayKorea will then coordinate with the school and will advise you if you have been accepted for a position. At this point you will be sent the schools contract. You will be required to sign, scan and email it back to us as soon as possible. We will still search for alternative offers at this stage and do not be concerned if you are asked for further interviews. This is normal and ensures a definite position for you.

Step 7: Once you are offered the position, we will ask you to send us certain documentation that is required by the Immigration Office in South Korea.

These documents should be sent by international courier (UPS, FeDex or DHL)*. Make sure you obtain and provide us with a tracking number so that your documentation can be traced.

• DO NOT send opened transcripts. It is imperative that they are in the logo sealed envelope from your university and stamped across the enclosure official and sealed.
• Make sure you send them with all the other documents.
• DO NOT allow your university to mail them to us directly as we have no way of telling who they belong to.

Step 8: Once your documents arrive in Korea the school will send them straight to the Korean Immigration office for the processing of your visa confirmation number. This procedure usually takes about 2-3 weeks. At this stage you will not be interviewed further and the school that processes your visa confirmation number will be the school you will be working for.

Step 9: We will notify you as soon as the immigration office issues your visa confirmation number. You will then be required to attend an interview at your nearest Korean Embassy/Consulate (please call the Consulate/Embassy to inquire about interview schedules and requirements). After the interview, they will stamp your passport with your E-2 working visa.

Step 10: Closer to your departure date your flight details will be sent to your e-mail address. You have to print it out and take it with you to the airport.

Finally

Careful and fair screening is carried out for every applicant. It is but our duty to provide nothing but the best English Teachers we can find for our client schools.

Applicants who send their documentation prior to a job offer are usually offered positions very quickly as our client schools are looking to hire committed persons and having your documentation in Korea prior to a job offer makes you a serious applicant.
