LEADER LANGUAGE SCHOOLS in Taiwan Seek EFL teachers!
WHERE WE ARE: Our main branch is located in CHANGHUA, a mid-size city located in central Taiwan: http://tourism.chcg.gov.tw/english/index.htm
The city is famous for having the largest seated Buddha in South East Asia. Changhua is ideally located to go anywhere on the island with ease, especially with the new high-speed railway system! Changhua is only 19 min. by train from the 3rd largest city called TAICHUNG.. We also have a branch in YUANLIN, Taiwan's largest "Town"- also 20 min. from the main branch.
WHO WE SEEK: English Instructors with a four-year degree in ANY field to begin in May 2008. Experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring is preferred.
WHAT WE DO: LEADER is an after-school English language institute. We teach the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing to students, ages 6-18 and adult tutorials.
HOW MUCH WOULD YOU MAKE? $NT610-640 based on experience. For 25 teaching hours max. per week average, you would make well over $US2000/month. ($30NT is approx.1USD). There is also a 6-day option is available to get even more hours if you desire them.

WHAT ARE THE OFFICE HOURS? Teachers have approx. 4-5 teaching hours a day, they come in at least an hour before their first class to prepare, and can leave at the conclusion of their last class, which at the earliest is 8:40pm and the latest is 10:00pm. Mon.-Fri., Tues.-Sat., OR 6-day Schedules.
CLASS PREPARATION: We have set lesson plans, although teachers are encouraged to "spice up" their lessons by teaching the assigned pages in creative ways. There is some grading/report cards to do, however we also have "graders" to assist.
SUCCESS: LEADER has a particularly strong General English Proficiency Test (GEPT) training system with high passing rate.
CLASS SIZE: Classes range from 4 to 18 students, but some GEPT classes have up to 30. (However, in this case, we put in up to four teachers at the same time to drill students orally! It's actually a lot of fun and getting paid for it!).
