Activities and Exercises for ESL Students (Listening)

One of the funniest descriptions of how to learn English pronunciation I've heard recently is this: "Listen to how native speakers pronounce the language, and then do that." Of course, English pronunciation isn't quite that easy for many people, especially if you're not a talented mimic, but it is true that improving English pronunciation, like improving English speaking skills in general, requires practice. On this page, I've listed several online sites where students can practice listening in a variety of contexts. From the amazing and comprehensive Randall's Cyber Listening Lab to smaller sites, I hope this will provide you with a good idea of the kinds of listening practice available on the net.

Note: remember, please email me if you see something inappropriate or a broken link, etc. Your feedback helps keep the site up-to-date! Click here to send me email. --Kristina
