Teaching Materials (Games)

If learning is fun, don't we all learn better? I know I do! Some of the courses I was most successful in were those where a liberal dose of fun and games were applied to the learning process. Games can help capture students' interest in the task at hand, and can make class or practice time fly by.

On this page, you'll find links to online education-related games, as well as commercial software and other games intended for use in teaching. There are quizzes, puzzles, and other fun activities that I hope you'll be able to use in your classes. If not, you may find pages to which you can point your students in the hopes that the fun factor will lead to more practice outside class time. (Ah, students practicing outside of class! What a wonderful dream! :-))

If you've found a site with a great ESL/EFL-related game, or you have comments about one of these resources, please feel free to email me and let me know about it! --Kristina
